Move Momentum is a local charity based in Winchester that aims to make dance accessible to everyone. We provide opportunities to learn dance for groups of people for whom dance is less accessible. We offer weekly dance classes for young people, older adults and people with disabilities.
We believe that dance is for everyone. We strive to make this a reality.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
To provide accessible, inclusive and affordable dance classes. We know dance changes people’s lives because we witness it first-hand and we believe that everyone should have access to a high-quality dance education enabling them to improve mental and physical well-being and enrich their quality of life.
We believe in:
creating accessible opportunities
Move Momentum (originally called Integr8 Movement) was founded in 2016 by Louise Todino and started with our Academies . In 2018, Amanda Watkinson took on the role of Project Manager for Move Momentum, overseeing all the projects and developing the charity. Since then we expanded to deliver classes for over 65's as part of our GEMS project and then developed Liberate Dance, an exclusively wheelchair-based dance company, alongside Vickie Simmonds. In April 2020, we became officially resgistered as a charity.
