Project Manager and Dance Teacher
Amanda is the Project Manager for Move Momentum, this includes all the general running and management of the charity along with starting and developing our classes and projects. In this role, Amanda started the GEMS, over 65s class, and Liberate Dance, wheelchair dance classes in collaboration with Vickie Simmonds. Amanda teaches the GEMS and Liberate classes for Move Momentum and delivers most of our external workshops and services.
Amanda studied at Choreography and Dance at the University of Winchester and participated in their study abroad program where she spent a semester training in the US. Amanda has predominantly trained in contemporary dance techniques, however, has also trained in street dance styles, physical theatre, ballet and jazz. During her time at university, she developed a passion for teaching dance within the community sector. She specialises in delivering dance sessions to support well-being and for people with physical and learning disabilities.
