Meet Our Trustees - Kay
So yesterday we introduced you to the first of our lovely trustees - our chairperson Alana. Next up, we’d like to give the stage to Kay!
Tell us a bit about yourself! What does a day in the life of Kay look like?
Hi everyone, I’m Kay. I live with my partner Matt and have two children (Geeorge 28 and Poppy 13), and 3 grandchildren. I work as a Learning Support Assistant at Osborne School in Winchester and I absolutely love my job. I get to work with wonderful students everyday and there is never a dull moment. I also work in a local sportsmans club on a weekend.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love walking and spend my spare time trudging around the countryside. I have 8 guinea pigs as pets which I share with my daughter. We enjoy family weekends away and socialising with our friends (when we are allowed to).
What made you want to get involved with Move Momentum/become a trustee of Move Momentum?
I wanted to become a trustee as I have seen first hand just how dance can bring people together and improve children and adults physical fitness and mental health. I believe everyone should have a chance to access dance classes no matter what your financial circumstances, fitness levels are or a disability may have and this is exactly what Move Momentum provides.
Has being a trustee of Move Momentum made a difference to you?
Being a trustee has made me so proud of all the people that have worked so hard to make this happen. Being able to see the hard work pay off in the smiling faces of the members is very special. I enjoy having a busy life and it's an honour to be a trustee of such a wonderful charity. Everyone involved has the same passion and drive.
Anything else you would like to add?
A huge thankyou to all the people that have worked so very hard to make Move Momentum a reality for all.
