Meet Our Trustees - Laura
Updated: Mar 10
It’s almost a wrap for our trustee introductions! The last (but definitely not least) trustee we’d like to introduce you all to is the wonderful Laura!
Tell us a bit about yourself! What does a day in the life of Laura look like?
Hi everyone, I’m Laura, I work in project management in the telecommunications sector which I’ve done for several years now. I live in Hampshire with my gorgeous pup Jolene. In my spare time I really enjoy oil painting and of course helping out with Move Momentum!
What do you do as a trustee of Move Momentum?
I’m the secretary so i take on a number of administrative duties to support the board of trustees - things like organising meetings, and taking minutes.
What made you want to get involved with Move Momentum/become a trustee of Move Momentum?
I worked with Amanda at another local charity and was keen to be involved in a charity that was led by someone so experienced and passionate about making positive changes in the community.
How do you feel about being a trustee of Move Momentum? How do you fit it around your other responsibilities?
I am very proud to be a part of Move Momentum, I believe in Move Momentum’s objectives and take joy in watching the charity grow and develop. Work/life balance has always been difficult to maintain for me but since moving to video calls for the general meetings, balancing work and trustee duties has actually become more manageable.
