Amanda, our Project Manager, sharing her story.
"My name is Amanda, I'm 28 years old and I run Momentum. I wear many 'hats' at Momentum from teaching classes to admin, marketing, accounts and everything in between. I'm very fortunate that everyday is a bit different and I get to teach lots of amazing people from different walks of life.
I started dancing when I was a teenager and instantly fell in love with it. Dance became a part of my identity and I couldn't imagine my life without it. After I left school I realised that I wanted to be able to dance everyday so decided I wanted to pursue a career teaching dance. I love my job because dance means so much to me and I believe everyone should be able to experience the joy it can bring and I love being able to make that happen.
For a long time I have struggled with anxiety but dancing has always been my escape and a way to manage and express my emotions. Over the years it has helped so much with my confidence and even on the more challenging days dancing and teaching always makes me feel better. I'm am so grateful that through this job I get to meet so many amazing people and help spread the joy of dance."
