Amanda Watkinson
CEO and Dance Teacher
Amanda is the CEO of Move Momentum and has been overseeing the running and development of the charity since 2018. In this role, Amanda started the GEMS, over 65s classes, and Liberate Dance, wheelchair dance classes in collaboration with Vickie Simmonds and has developed our care home and workshops programme.

Amanda teaches the Liberate Dance classes as well as classes and workshops for care homes, community groups and schools.
​
Amanda has been teaching dance for 9 years and studied Choreography and Dance at the University of Winchester, during which time she participated in their study abroad program spending a semester training at a conservatoire in the US. Amanda has a passion for community dance and specialises in delivering dance sessions to support well-being and for people with physical and learning disabilities. Amanda's main training has been in contemporary dance techniques but also teaches street dance, jazz and musical theatre.
In addition to her work at Move Momentum, she also teaches for Blue Apple Theatre, Florian School of Dance and Starcast Performing Arts. She has also been a guest lecturer at the University of Winchester and has been the choreographer for the carnival that is part of Winchester's Hat Fair.
