SEN School Workshops & Classes

We are specialists in delivering dance classes and workshops for people with disabilities, providing fun experiences that will be hard to forget.

We lead the sessions tailored to the participants' pace, making sure that everyone feels comfortable and supported. Sessions can be delivered either from a wheelchair or standing, or a mixture of both, can incorporate the use of props and will use fun, popular music to engage the students.

Sessions can include the learning of choreography or can be a sensory movement to music class, or anywhere in between depending on the needs of the students.

Our classes and workshops focus on encouraging self-expression and supporting individuality. We provide various adaptations to suit different abilities and make sure that everyone who attends can take part and enjoy themselves. We also encourage teachers and learning support staff to get involved.

"We can teach a variety of dance styles, including contemporary, street dance, and musical theatre and can also incorporate any learning themes that the students are focussing on that term. We can provide sessions that run weekly, monthly, termly or as a one-off workshop, whichever suits your school best." - CEO and dance teacher Amanda.

"This term at Saxonwood School one of the classes was learning about the environment so we collaboratively created a dance with the students using these ideas as inspiration and incorporated what they had been learning into our movements. They suggested movements to symbolise recycling and protecting our rainforests and our oceans. We worked on this dance over several weeks and the students were really proud of the dance that they created." - Kerry, Dance Teacher
