Meet Our Trustees - Alana

Updated: Oct 7, 2021

Introducing…ALANA!

We thought it was about time we introduced you to the wonderful people who work behind the scenes to make Move Momentum the best it can be - meet our trustees!

Our trustees share responsibility for deciding how Move Momentum runs and is managed. Without our wonderful trustees, we simply wouldn't be able to run, so we want to give them the recognition they deserve.

So, first up is our lovely chairperson…. ALANA!

Tell us a bit about yourself! What does a day in the life of Alana look like?

I’ve worked in the arts sector as a project manager, producer and dance teacher for the past six years for various organisations across Hampshire and Surrey. These include Hampshire Cultural Trust, SoCo Music Project, Theatre for Life, Blue Apple Theatre, The Point & Integr8 Dance. I love managing projects with a health & wellbeing focus, and i’m passionate about working with adults and children with SEN/D and in challenging circumstances.

What do you do as a trustee of Move Momentum?

I’m the Chair of Trustees for Move Momentum, which means I chair the trustee meetings and help out with the charity wherever I can.

What made you want to get involved with Move Momentum/become a trustee of Move Momentum?

I have been involved with Move Momentum since it started. I am super passionate about providing high quality dance experiences for the community, and wanted to support Move Momentum as I really believe in the ethos of the charity.

How do you feel about being a trustee of Move Momentum? How do you fit it around your other responsibilities?

I love being the chairperson! My work is involved in the arts and dance sector, and I am used to juggling lots of projects around so I always make sure I find time to fit my role in when I can.
