Celebrating Our Successful #MoveMomentumMarch Fundraising Campaign!

We are absolutely thrilled to share some fantastic news with you all. Thanks to your overwhelming support and generosity, our #MoveMomentumMarch fundraising campaign has surpassed all expectations, ensuring the continuation of our vital programs well into the year.

Move Momentum faced a critical financial challenge, with our classes at risk due to funding

constraints. However, the response to our annual crowdfunding campaign has been nothing short of remarkable. Our target was £7,000, but with your incredible enthusiasm and the hard work of our dedicated team and supporters, we have raised a phenomenal £12,728! This outpouring of support demonstrates the immense value our community places on the work we do here at Move Momentum.

We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to our amazing match funders, Sport England and Sovereign Network Group, whose partnership and support played a pivotal role in this success. Additionally, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our corporate sponsor, Sysmex UK, for their generous contribution to our cause.

Throughout March, our calendar was packed with exciting events, each contributing to our fundraising triumph. Let's take a moment to reflect on some of the highlights:

  • Katie's Danceathon kicked off our campaign in style at the University of Southampton, showcasing the infectious energy and enthusiasm of our community.

  • Keeleigh's Virtual Murder Mystery brought participants together for a thrilling evening of intrigue and suspense, all in the name of a good cause.

  • GEMS Afternoon Tea & Raffle, hosted by our wonderful volunteer Lynn and our dedicated class, provided a delightful opportunity for members to come together and contribute.

  • Amanda and Luke's Half-Marathon and the Academies' Fancy Dress Walk demonstrated the dedication and spirit of our team, as they embarked on physical challenges to raise funds and awareness.

  • Lizzie's Online Quiz Night was filled with lots of laughs and learning

We also extend our appreciation to everyone who participated in our bucket collections on the high street and at Tesco, as every contribution—big or small—helped us exceed our fundraising goal.

A huge thank you to:

  • Tesco Extra, Winnall for allowing us to spend a day collecting in your store.

  • King Charles Pub in Kings Worthy for raising money for us through their quiz and a cake sale.

  • To the University of Southampton and the University of Winchester for allowing us to host fundraising events on your campuses.

  • To all the local businesses who offered rewards that we were able to use on the campaign.

None of this would have been possible without the tireless efforts of our team, volunteers, and the unwavering support of our community. Your belief in our mission and the impact of our programs is what drives us forward.

As we celebrate this remarkable achievement, we are also looking ahead with renewed optimism. The success of #MoveMomentumMarch not only secures the future of our classes but also underscores the importance of what we do in fostering a supportive and inclusive community.

Thank you once again for standing with us and for being an integral part of the Move Momentum family. Together, we are creating positive change and making a real difference in the lives of so many. Here's to the continued momentum and the bright future ahead!
