Move Momentum Returns to The Cedar School for Inclusive Dance Experiences!

Updated: Feb 1

We're thrilled to announce our return to The Cedar School, where Move Momentum is back to inspire and uplift with our specialised inclusive dance classes for their students with disabilities! Taught by our passionate CEO, Amanda, we've already begun creating magical moments in the classroom, and the year has only just begun.

The Cedar School is a beacon of inclusivity, catering to children aged 3-16 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Their commitment to providing enriching and relevant learning experiences aligns perfectly with our mission at Move Momentum.

As specialists in delivering dance classes and workshops for people with disabilities, we take immense pride in providing fun, engaging experiences that leave a lasting impression. At Move Momentum, inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do. We tailor our sessions to the participants' pace, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and supported throughout. Our sessions are uniquely designed to accommodate all abilities.

Our sessions at Cedar School blend dance activities performed from a wheelchair and from standing to adapt to specific class needs. We incorporate the use of props and popular music to captivate the students, making learning an enjoyable and immersive experience for all.

Dance teacher, Amanda, is in a wheelchair with arms out in front of her in a stop gesture. There are two students in wheelchairs whose backs our towards the camera and a teaching assistant, who is also in a wheelchair, sat to the right of Amanda also doing the same arm gesture. After delivering a very successful workshop in December 2023, loved by students and staff alike, Cedar has booked us for weekly morning sessions on Tuesday mornings, alternating which of their classes attend. Additionally, we're excited to introduce a break-time dance club for any students eager to join in on the fun!

The students have already learned a variety of dances using music and props, with our 'Spice Girls' warm-up being a particular hit and dancing with our 'big rubber band'. It's been a blast!

Many teachers have expressed their delight at seeing how much the students enjoy our sessions, highlighting just how amazing they are.

We're committed to delivering enriching experiences that inspire, uplift, and empower. Thank you to everyone at Cedar for welcoming us with open arms. We can't wait to continue dancing, learning, and growing together in the days ahead!
